The GSA Board reviews and approves compensation for the organization's officers annually, and documents the discussion in writing.”

“The Organization makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements available to the public upon request.”

“Reportable Compensation: Iain Shone and Melanie Siggs both received compensation in 2022 from Global Seafood Alliance, a related organization. Additionally, Melanie Siggs also received compensation directly from the Center for Responsible Seafood. The compensation paid to Mr. Shone and Ms. Siggs in 2022 was for services performed in their capacities as independent contractors engaged by the respective organizations. Neither Mr. Shone or Ms. Siggs received compensation for their services as members of the Center's Board. The 2022 compensation reported for George Chamberlain and Wallace Stevens was paid by a related organization, Global Seafood Alliance. Mr. Chamberlain was paid by Global Seafood Alliance for his services as the President of both The Center for Responsible Seafood and Global Seafood Alliance. Mr. Stevens was paid by Global Seafood Alliance for his services as a Strategic Advisor of The Global Seafood Alliance. Mr. Stevens served as the Treasurer of TCRS and Chairman of the GSA board.”

“Finalization of the Organization's records for internal book purposes is not yet complete because certain matters that could have an impact on the financial statements have not been resolved. As a result, the Organization's reviewed financial statements have not yet been issued. To meet the extended filing deadline of November 15, 2023, this tax return is prepared based on information available at this time, and to the best of the organization's knowledge is complete and accurate as currently presented. However, it is being filed with the possibility and even expectation that the potential changes described above will require the filing of an amended return once the reviewed financial statements are completed by an independent public accounting firm.”
