“PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE NEW STORY LEADERSHIP FOR THE MIDDLE EAST NSL IS A 501c3 CHARITY REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND, WHICH SEEKS TO INSPIRE A NEW STORY OF POSSIBILITY FOR THE MIDDLE EAST BY BRINGING OUTSTANDNG ISRAELI AND PALESTINIAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TO WASHINGTON, DC EACH SUMMER. THROUGH LIVING, LEARNING AND WORKING TOGETHER, THESE FUTURE LEADERS OBTAIN PROFESSIONAL EXPOSURE AND LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS A CULTURAL IMMERSION IN THE UNITED STATES. THROUGH THEIR SHARED EXPERIENCES, THE STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO TELL THEIR UNIQUE STORIES TO THE WORLD WHILE COMING TO VIEW THE CONFLICT WITH A NEW PERSPECTIVE. IN ADDITION, EACH STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN IDEA FOR A PROJECT FOR CHANGE PFC TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN THE REGION AFTER THE SUMMER.”

“Nsl served nine students in 2017 one of our team members was unable to make it to dc from gaza. 1. Sais conference an nsl-sponsored conference open to the public at the johns hopkins school for advanced international studies. Members of the press were invited to this event with two panels, each featuring two current nsl delegates as speakers. Other speakers included ori nir of americans for peace now, professor stef woods of american university, grace benton of georgetown university, and two alums of our sister programs, the washington ireland program wip and the south african international program.”

“2. Congressional forum held at the capitol building, this event featured speeches by four current nsl delegates and was moderated by the nsl program manager. Representative jared polis d-co also spoke about his long-time support for nsl.”

“3. Annual interfaith forum at bradley hills presbyterian church, co-sponsored by the bethesda jewish congregation. Team members spoke at this event and took questions from the audience. The service was followed by a community luncheon.”

“4. Other speaking events seekers church 50 people, st. Marks of capitol hill 75 people, a service at temple sinai in dc at which two nsl delegates spoke followed by a community dinner with the team 75 people, and an event at the womens institute for freedom of the press about 50 people.”
