“The auvsi cascade chapter was established in the northwest united states to share the ideals of auvsi with local industries, academia, and government. The association for unmanned vehicles systems international is formed to: (a) provide an organization for individuals who have a common interest in unmanned vehicle systems and who wish to foster and expand the domain of unmanned vehicle systems, (b) advance the technology, (c) exchange ideas and information in the field of unmanned vehicle systems and to recognize the advances and contributions thereto, (d) promote the education of the membership and general public in the field of unmanned vehicle systems, and (e) document the history of unmanned vehicle systems.”

“Auvsi cascade chapter affiliated member numbers continue to increase with each passing year, currently totaling more than 400 individuals. We continue to provide 2 events per year alternating locations in oregon and washington except under covid-19 restrictions when we hold these virtually. The cascade chapter has awarded 31,500 to stem and unmanned system programs in the northwest over the course of this fiscal year and has plans to execute additional grants and awards to various recipients ranging from youth robotic clubs to university level institutions before the close of 2020.”
