ONCE A MORTGAGE IS OBTAINED, CAAN CONTINUES TO PROVIDE COUNSELING TO HELP WITH FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT. CAAN FOCUSES ON SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION AND WILL ADVISE POTENTIAL HOME BUYERS ABOUT AVAILABLE PROPERTIES. CAAN WILL OVERSEE NEW CONSTRUCTION FOR SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY TO ASSIST THE HOME BUYER IN SAVING ON UTILITIES. IF THE HOME BUYER TO PURCHASING RATHER THAN BUILDING, CAAN WILL INSPECT THE PROPERTY TO DETERMINE WHAT WORK NEEDS TO BE DONE TO MEET CAAN'S REQUIREMENTS, LOCAL BUILDING CODES, AND ENERGYY STAR REQUIREMENTS. CAAN ASSISTS HOMEBUYERS THROUGHOUT EACH PHASE OF THE PROJECT.CAAN ALSO PROVIDES USEFUL AND INFORMATIVE HOME OWNERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS TO PREPARE BUYERS FOR TRANSITIONING FROM TENANT TO HOME OWNERSHIP. CAAN WILL DO THIS FOR NOT LESS THAN A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS WHILE MAINTAINING REGULAR COMMUNICATIONS WITH HOME OWNERS AFTER CLOSING. HOME VISITS ARE ALSO SCHEDULED TO ADVISE HOMEOWNERS WITH HOUSING MAINTENANCE ISSUES AS THEY MAY ARRISE.
