“The pchs band boosters inc was organized to support the students, directors and families of the port charlotte high school bands, in their goal to achieve the highest standards of music education and music performance. By partnering with the community, we provide financial support where needed, coordinate student activities and events and provide parent volunteers to assist the director in accomplishing the tasks that benefit the band students and programs. The boosters also bring awareness of the needs of the band to the community through holding various types of fundraisers for the various programs and activities for the band. The organization hosts the local middle school students during the marching band season to participate with the high school band at the football games to encourage them to continue their band music education when they start in high school in the coming years. The organization hosts an annual year end band banquet to honor and thank the students for their participation in the band program as a way to encourage the students for their accomplishments each year in the band program of the port charlotte high school. The organizations community fundraisers held are organized also to help other non-profit organizations, as well as the band, with things such as collecting non-perishible food items for a local food bank.”

“During the fye 6/30/19 period the pchs band boosters, inc. Provided approximately 114 high school band members with uniform clothing, meals travel and concert band expenses for the various high school band activities for the pchs band in florida. The organization also provided technical instructions, music and band equipment for use by all members of the band. This support supplemented the stipend received for the port charlotte high school band from the charlotte county florida school board to operate the band program at the pc high school. 5 paid instructors and many volunteers helped with the technical instruction and music for the band members that needed the help. During the fall football game marching season approximately 100 middle school students were provided shirts and meals for their participation in one of the football halftime shows and then sitting in the stands with the pchs band for the rest of the games to encourage them to continue their musical abilities at the high school level when they get there. The annual band banquet in may of 2019 was provided for 86 students to honor those involved in the band program but also those graduating seniors for their participation in that year's band program. And the non-perishable food fundraiser for the local food bank was a huge success. The boosters had 42 parents and booster friends volunteers who helped with the various programs and activities for the pchs band in the fye 6/30/19.”
