“I care outreach, inc. Was founded in 2004 to identify and address the urgent needs of low-income, disadvantaged and at risk individuals and families within the brigeport, connecticut area and surrounding local communities. The organization's mission is to help this population become self-sufficient and self supporting; while enhancing their quality of life and standard of living. Located 60 miles from manhattan and just 40 miles from the bronx, modern bridgeport is considered part of the new york metropolitan area. It is home to almost 152,000 people, making it the largest and most densely populated city in connecticut. It is also the poorest city in the state and one of the poorest cities in the nation, despite being located in one of the wealthiest countiesfairfield. Bridgeport connecticut has faced numerous economic challenges, including high income inequality, a history of deindustrialization, high poverty rates, and unemployment, despite being in a wealthy region. These issues are compounded by factors like a declining tax base, vacant industrial buildings, and challenges in housing and social services. I care outreach inc. Endeavors to help revitalize bridgeport by addressing social and environmental issues through training programs by offering workforce development for job seekers, personal and leadership skills for youth, and specialized training for entrepreneurship or in- demand industries along with housing to strengthen individuals and families.”

“Adult practical life skills education & training in the greater bridgeport area for the growing number of adults and families who earn less than the basic costs of living, equipping participants with tools and spiritual support to assist with their goal toward poverty alleviation. Approximately twenty individuals graduated in 2024 with certificates for completing our 2024 training classes. A variety of training classes and workshops were offered including but not limited to the following: a) job readiness training b) coaching/community relationships c) money management tools d) supportive referrals e) trauma-informed mind & soul care workship”
