Profile

To support projects, programs and initiatives intended to promote international cooperation and mutual understanding between the people of Afghanistan and those of other countries, to combat community deterioration by facilitating the reconstruction of Afghanistan and, through such reconstruction, to provide relief to the poor and distressed in Afghanistan, by means such as educational exchange and scholarship programs, both to enable the next generation of leaders in Afghanistan and Afghan scholars to develop or improve their capabilities through study at colleges and universities in the US and elsewhere and also to facilitate the conduct of field research in Afghanistan by scholars from the United States, conferences, seminars, lecture series, nonpartisan research and analysis, information exchanges and publications regarding Afghan history and culture and Afghan-related economic, reconstruction, security and social issues, and formal and informal opportunities for discussion.
