“A draft of form 990 was reviewed by the, board chair, executive director and a representative from the cpa firm handling the accounting and administration. Any comments will be discussed with the outside cpa/tax preparer and any necessary changes will be made to the return prior to filing.”

“Each director, principal officer, and member of a committee with governing board delegated powers shall annually sign a statement which affirms each person: 1) has received a copy of the conflict of interest policy, 2) has read and understood the policy, 3) has agreed to comply with the policy, and 4) understands the organization is charitable and in order to maintain its federal and state tax exemptions, it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of its tax exempt purposes. Periodic reviews shall be conducted to determine whether cash disbursements have been properly approved by the directors, reflect reasonable payments for goods and services, furthers the organization's charitable purpose, and does not result in private inurement, impermissible private benefit or excess benefit transactions.”

“As co-founders of the american dance movement (adm) (formerly dizzy feet foundation), producers nigel lythgoe and adam shankman have been encouraging communities to get moving through dance for over 10 years by funding dance education in underserved communities, as well as educating the public on the many benefits of dance, such as improved cardiovascular health, self-confidence, self-expression, and social skills. Adm continues to fund community programs, with a focus on a robust health initiative through a collaboration with the american heart association, increasing adm's impact by reaching more than 37,000 schools and 19 million kids. Adm's initiatives are based on three guiding pillars: 1. Grants; 2. Advocacy; and 3. Education and outreach. Grants: offering financial support to organizations that provide dance and movement to youth in underserved communities. We believe dance makes better human beings and better human beings make better communities. Advocacy: advocating for the importance of dance, movement and the arts. Advocating for the social, emotional and physical importance of the art form for everyone. Education and outreach: promoting access to dance for all without boundaries, through key outreach activities. A greater realization of the mission/vision and opportunity to educate about the benefits of dance (social, emotional and physical). Spreading the importance of our mission to a wider audience.”
