Omie's home for children and beyond inc. Is organized and operated to provide relief to the poor, distressed, and underprivileged in south india by providing the funds essential to: support orphaned and displaced children by providing food, shelter, water, clothing, educational fees, school supplies, and transportation; assist lepers by providing food, water, fruit, and blankets; assist neighboring children; dig borehole water wells in regions where clean water is insufficient; provide food and medical supplies to villagers; promote the overall well-being of individuals by continually providing relief and support in destitute regions.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Our primary focus is our home for children, omie's home. We provide monthly funds for food, shelter, staff salaries, educational costs, medical costs, maintenance for two homes (boys and girls), taxes, and clothing. We provide bonuses for staff at christmas. We provide for 37 to 45 children. Periodically, the authorities bring children to our home for short-term and other long-term care. They do not provide any financial assistance.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

Annually, we take a team to india to oversee and work with our children. Team members pay for travel costs, food, transportation, gas, hotel, etc. We do special events for our children and those who work at the home like children's day festivities, special meals at a restaurant, purchasing of christmas clothes, etc.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 30

As part of our "beyond" piece of ohfc, we provide financial assistance for the mortgage of his church and home, car payment, and other emergencies that come up like medical costs for his family. Jacob and his family annually travel to hyderabad to spend time with the team. We cover transportation (train), hotel, food, and give them a small gift for christmas. We also give a christmas gift to purchase sari's for widows and elderly ladies.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 31

We provide funds for food provisions monthly for 100 to 110 widows in yapral, where our home is located. We also gave a one-time financial gift for new sari's for christmas for these needy ladies. Over the years, we have helped families who live in a leper colony. Each year, the team provides a special meal, blankets, and food parcels to 57 families. We provided a wheelchair for a paralyzed boy and gave adult bicycles for those who cannot walk well. We also gave food and blankets to those in the colony who reside there but are not on the official "leper" list. Approximately 25 additional blankets and food parcels of food were given this year beyond the 57 families.
