Mission

The School Fund provides scholarships to high potential students in the developing world who cannot afford to attend school. Through the generous contributions of supporters and in collaboration with a network of education partners, The School Fund provides scholarships to high potential, economically-disadvantaged students in developing countries. As a result of our work, more students are able to access and complete secondary school, leading to a more educated and interconnected world.

IRS990/Desc0In 2021, The School Fund (TSF) made grants of scholarships and educational expenses for 329 needy secondary school students in seven developing countries across three continents. TSF worked with twelve NGO partners to identify eligible students and create a personalized profile and a detailed list of educational related expenses for each student. Funds raised via TSF to fund scholarships and school expenses are administered and delivered to the students' schools by the NGO partners. TSF continues to develop and operate its person-to-person funding website (www.theschoolfund.org) where students' profiles and funding needs are featured. The online platform allows donors to view student profiles, enables students to communicate with donors via online journals, and supports a transparent payment process in which receipts from the student's school or the NGO partner are viewable on the website.
