The center has been granted exemption from income taxes by the internal revenue service under the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is not considered to be a private foundation. Accordingly, no provision has been made for federal income tax. Management has assessed the exposure of the center to any uncertain tax positions and has concluded that no material uncertain tax positions existed as of december 31, 2024 and 2023. The organization files its federal exempt organization business income tax return ("form 990") annually and is no longer subject to income tax examinations by taxing authorities for years before 2021.
