The gi quality improvement consortium, ltd is an educational and scientific organization established by physicians specializing in gastroenterology. “Giquic has an agreement with the american college of gastroenterology (acg), an unrelated party, to provide management services. Acg allocates an agreed upon percentage of gross salaries and benefits for certain specified employees to giquic each month. The agreement is evaluated and adjusted on a periodic basis. The total management fee expense was $1,046,817 for 2024.”

THE CONSORTIUM'S PURPOSE IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE GIVEN TO PATIENTS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD AND THEREBY IMPROVE AND PROMOTE THE HEALTH OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC CONSISTENT WITH SECTION 501(C)(3). THE CONSORTIUM HAS DESIGNED, DEVELOPED, AND IS UTILIZING VARIOUS MEASUREMENTS OF ENDOSCOPIC TECHNIQUES OF PRACTICING GASTROENTEROLOGISTS IN A PROCESS REFERRED TO AS BENCHMARKING. THE COLLECTION AND SCIENTIFIC MEASUREMENT OF DATA COLLECTED IN REFERENCE TO THE QUALITY OF EDOSCOPIC PROCEDURES WILL IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE BEING GIVEN TO PATIENTS. OVER TIME, IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE PROJECT CAN DETERMINE WHICH INDICATORS ARE GOOD MEASURES FOR IMPROVING PATIENT TREATMENT AND OUTCOMES.
