Mission

Our mission is to mobilize black people across the african diaspora to heal from the trauma caused by centuries of anti black racism, to free ourselves of toxic stereotypes, and to reclaim our dignity and humanity as people of african ancestry.

PARTICIPANTS EMERGED WITH PERSONAL EMOTIONAL EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATIONS AND CONCRETE ACTION PLANS FOR FREEING THEMSELVES FROM THE LIE. SURVEY RESULTS SHOW THAT PARTICIPANTS EMERGED WITH A SENSE THAT THEIR MIS-EDUCATION ABOUT HISTORY HAS BEEN CORRECTED, A DEEPENED UNDERSTANDING OF THE IMPACT OF THE LIE ON THEIR LIVES, INCREASED FEELINGS OF SELF-EMPOWERMENT, AND A COMMITMENT TO CONTINUING ON THE JOURNEY TOWARD EMOTIONAL EMANCIPATION. THIS TRAINING IS DESIGNED TO EQUIP LOCAL LEADERS TO SERVE AS FACILITATORS FOR THE EE CIRCLE 101-TO MOBILIZE OTHERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES TO JOIN THEM ON THE JOURNEY TOWARD COMPLETE FREEDOM FROM THE LIE. TO QUALIFY TO BE TRAINED AS A FACILITATOR, LOCAL LEADERS HAD TO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THE EE CIRCLE 101 INTENSIVE EXPERIENCE OR HAVE BEEN TRAINED PREVIOUSLY AS A FACILITATOR WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS, AND MEET CERTAIN OTHER RELEVANT REQUIREMENTS. NEARLY 90 LOCAL LEADERS APPLIED TO BE TRAINED AS EEC 101 FACILITATORS IN FY22. VIRTUAL EE CIRCLE 101 FACILITATOR TRAININGS WERE HELD IN OCTOBER 2021 AND MARCH 2022, AND 61 LEADERS WERE TRAINED. THE RESULTS OF PRE- AND POST- SURVEYS SHOW THAT ON AVERAGE, PARTICIPANTS FELT ONLY "SOMEWHAT" CONFIDENT BEFORE COMPLETING TRAINING. AFTER COMPLETING TRAINING, PARTICIPANTS ON AVERAGE REPORTED FEELING "QUITE A BIT" CONFIDENT-SHOWING STRONG EVIDENCE OF TRAINING EFFECTIVENESS. IN FY22, CHN CREATED AKOMA NTOSO, AN ONLINE SPACE FOR EE CIRCLE FACILITATORS TO ACCESS MATERIALS, CONNECT, COMMUNICATE, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, AND SHARE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR LOCAL EE CIRCLES.
