The executive committee shall consist of the chair, vice chair, secretary and treasurer. In the event of emergency business which requires prompt attention, the executive committee shall have the authority to meet as necessary between meetings of the board of directors, and is delegated full authority of the board of directors to appoint and deny appointment to the medical staff (defined below) and for all other purposes except as may be limited by these bylaws or by resolution of the board of directors.

PART X, LINE 2:

The system is a tax-exempt organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the code) and is exempt from federal income taxes on related income pursuant to section 509(a)(2) of the code. The organization is also exempt from state income taxes on related income. The system files a form 990 (return of organization exempt from income tax) annually. When this return is filed it is highly certain that some positions taken would be sustained upon examination by the taxing authorities, while others are subject to uncertainty about the merits of the position taken or the amount of the position that would ultimately be sustained. Examples of tax positions include such matters as the following: the tax exempt status of the entity and various positions relative to potential sources of unrelated business income tax (ubit). Ubit is reported on form 990-t, as appropriate. The benefit of a tax position is recognized in the financial statements in the period during which, based on all available evidence, management believes that it is more likely than not that the positions will be sustained upon examination, including the resolution of appeals or litigation process, if any.

THE HOSPITAL CURRENTLY FACILITATES THE FOLLOWING SUPPORT GROUPS: ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, IMPAIRED PROFESSIONAL ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS, AND SURVIVORS OF SUICIDE. SUPPORTS PATIENTS AND PROGRAMS OF AFFILIATES OF ROGERS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SYSTEM INC. BY RAISING AND MANAGING PHILANTHROPIC INCOME. THROUGH DONATIONS PROVIDED BY INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS, AND LOCAL FOUNDATIONS, ROGERS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION, INC. SUPPORTS PROGRAMS SUCH AS THE FOLLOWING: PATIENT CONTINUATION SCHOLARSHIPS, ANGEL FUND, SPIRITUAL CARE PROGRAM AND HOSPITAL CAPITAL EXPANSION PROJECTS. THE SYSTEM IS DEDICATED TO EXPANDING AND UPDATING ITS FACILITIES TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF ITS PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF RAISING FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF THESE EXPANSION PROJECTS.
