To support and encourage the expanding use of trager psychophysical integration and mentastics movement education in the united states and countries that are members of the usta. To support and coordinate research programs relating to the theories and applications of the trager approach and mentastics movement education. To perform prudent and necessary business and legal functions, including entering into contractual obligations, to maintain organizational viablility for execution of its purpose.

The foundation for somatic touch continues to maintain the mission of the trager foundation to support the growth and accessibility of all somatic touch and movement professions that utilize touch, movement and client conscious awareness. This includes outreach and collaberation with other organizations in the support and publication of reasearch and case reports. While maintaining fiscal responsibility to ensure continued operations, the primary functions of raising funds, reviewing applications, and awarding research grants will continue. Additional programs such as the case report writing project, which supports somatic touch and movement practitioners as they write about their experiences with the goal of publication of the case reports, will continue in 2025 because of our generous donors and team of volunteers.
