Beacon of Hope for the Children Inc

EIN 26-3702849 • 501(c)3 • Miami, FL

Profile

Beacon of Hope's mission is to help underpriviledged children & families in Latin America and the Caribbean break the cycle of poverty. Its primary focus is education, since it is the long-term key to empowering youth to overcome their current hardships. We also focus on short-term aid to help them meet their basis needs. We include dignity among the basic needs we aim to fulfill; it is as essential to success and self sufficiency as water is to survival. The stigma of poverty is often overlooked, but its weight places a great burden on those who bear it. We embrace a community-based approach. The specific needs of individuals and families are often shared by those around them, and by working to address these needs at the community level we maximize our impact.
