American Youth Council Inc

The American Youth Council, Inc. uses youth sports as a development vehicle for Character and Leadership Programs. Our mission is to intervene in a child's life with systems and programs that interrupt the impact of at-risk environments and behaviors, and that encourage, nourish and sustain their dreams and potential. In 2017, AYC produced four large scale high school football events with 320 participants, 100 high school coaches, and 20,000 attendees (parents, teachers, students). The athletes in the events helped fund Holiday For Hope Toy Drives, and a new online digital Resource Center for students, coaches and teachers. The Resource Center provides over 4000 students in North America with programs and information about community service, drug awareness, college preparation and life skills.

American Youth Council, Inc. exists to provide Character and Leadership opportunities to children. In the past we produced large-scale athletic events and associated charity programs to benefit economically disadvantaged children. Those events have ceased with the advent in changes in the desire of young people to participate. In 2016 we developed a national online Community Service database which runs on our website, and serves over 3,000 high school students per year who are seeking information about where to find community service in their area. In 2019 we are launching a new program called HelpWorx, which is another national online Community Service program to help high school students develop Community Service projects. www.helpworx.org.
