Light Industry Cinema Projects presents weekly events in New York City at our dedicated space and other spaces. The goal of the organization is to bring together otherwise disparate artistic communities-including filmmaking, the art world, academia and music-by inviting notable curators, artists and writers to present each week's show. Our programming includes screenings, lectures, and performances, with a central theme of the art of the moving image in all its forms. We encourage a convivial social atmosphere at our events, and charge a low ticket price in order to allow for a wide range of attendees. Our organization publicizes and promotes each week's event through press releases, a website, emailing list and other forms of online marketing. We also have initiated an internship program in which college students and recent graduates can learn about the practice of film and art exhibition.
