Mission

To include, promote, and enrich the education, welfare, and cultural awareness of Clear Springs Elementary School students through educational programs and volunteer resources. To provide a social community for the student body and their families. To promote Clear Springs Elementary activities, open communication and cooperation among teachers, parents, the district and the community. To act as a not-for-profit fundraising body, providing financial support in those areas where additional assistance may be needed to improve the quality of education for Clear Springs' students. To offer services and supportive projects which enhance the elementary school experience. All of these activities are organized and run by parent volunteers. These activities are funded through two major fundraisers per year. The fall fundraiser is help in the fall and the silent auction is held in the spring.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Art adventures - an art curriculum provided to the children and taught by trained parent volunteers. 5th grade party - a graduation party for our 5th grade students. Cultural arts field trips - pto funds at least one field trip per class or grade level per school year. Kindness retreat - pto pays for this retreat for 5th graders which is part of a three part retreat series the district requires from grades 5-10. Winter family event - pto hosts an all school family party in the winter as part of its community building goals. Spring fling - this is a year-end all school family celebration hosted by the pto, which includes dinner and music performed by the students. Pancake breakfast - pto hosts a pancake breakfast as part of its community building goals. Ice cream social/new family welcome - pto provides school t-shirts and coffee/pastries to the new families on the first day of school. Art show - pto helps to mount and hang one piece of artwork from every studenty in the school throughout the building for the art show. Book room - pto replaces and updates the school leveled/guided reading book room as needed. Pe awards - pto provides the presidential fitness awards for the physical education department. Yearbook - pto helps to pay for the annual yearbook. Staff appreciation week. Literacy/book fairs - pto puts on two book fairs per year. Friends and family day.
