Line 4a - first program accomplishment - education program (continued) area nonprofits, collectively they raised 2,100 and 5,520 items to benefit areas of need including: animal rescue, senior citizens and foster youth; hands4hope high school clubs successfully planned and implemented seven service learning projects benefiting seven different area nonprofits, collectively they raised 2,108 and 1,040 items to benefit areas of need including: food insecure, senior citizens, the trafficked, homeless support, and foster youth; hands4hope afterschool project committees successfully planned and implemented 52 service learning projects benefiting twenty different area nonprofits; collectively they raised 29,145 and over 10,560 items to benefit areas of need including: food insecure, senior citizens, the trafficked, homeless support, foster youth, and at risk youth. In total the hands4hope - youth making a difference education program raised and donated more than 33,000, and 8,000 items to causes close to their heart. Through this program youth learn how to be civic minded. Line 4b - second program accomplishment - community outreach (continued) stuffed with school supplies to students in need,collected 3,000 pounds of food for the new hands4hope - youth making a difference emergency food pantry, and served 15,328 individuals in our community. Through this program youth learn how to be socially responsible. Line 4c - third program accomplishment - leadership (continued) 25 youth from five high schools in attendance, hosted 7th annual middle school leadership mid-year retreat with 28 youth from six middle schools in attendance, trained five middle school leaders of a newly established club, and the youth board hosted a virtual escape room and raised 1,700 for the upper room dining hall and food distribution center dedicated to serving people in the community experiencing food insecurity 365 days per year.”
