Form 990-ez, page 2 part iii: the organizations primary exempt purpose: a non-profit trade association dedicated to helping the organic food trade transition to more sustainable practices that contribute to a positive impact for the environment, society, and business. Form 990-ez page 2, part iii lines 28, 29 and 30:sfta held 8 webinars, 1 training, a three-part educational series, and organized and/or participated in 5 presentations to educate and inform members and non-members about sustainability metrics, strategies and implementation plans for their businesses.a new sustainable packaging working group was formed to explore new innovations and technologies for packaging that meets sustainability criteria. The supply chain working group developed a supply chain sustainability questionnaire in english and spanish that can be used to gather basic sustainability information from growers and value-add processors across the world. Form 990-ez page 2, part iii lines 28, 29 and 30:the climate collaborative, a project of sfta and osc2, was created to increase organic business participation in meaningful actions to address climate change.
