Each june during the hollywood fringe festival, the arts infiltrate the hollywood neighborhood. In 2025, 423 production were mounted in fully equipped theaters, clubs, an automotive shop and other unexpected places by nearly 1,800 independent artists. 100% of ticket sales from the festival are reimbursed to the primary producing artists at the end of the festival via checks, including the $545,442.64 sold in online sales. With door sales and other website sales, it is estimated that nearly $740,000 was made by independent artists through the festival. Year round, hollywood fringe staff plans the festival, but also works on an independent artist training program through the creative and producer's workshop series.

The mission of hatchery arts is to foster a community of artists in los angeles to celebrate, advance and enliven the performing arts.hatchery arts produces the annual hollywood fringe festival, one of the largest performing arts festival in the country. The festival is "open access" meaning any who register may perform without risk of censorship. All revenue from tickets sold is reimbursed to the artists. Throughout the year, hatchery arts hosts workshops for artists, producers and arts lovers around significant topics in the performing arts. We also produce year-round town halls and community events to nurture the artsmaking community in los angeles.
Produces new and provocative works by undiscovered artists for the benefit of the community.
