“Families against narcotics, inc.(fan) established a salary range for the executive director's position that was reviewed by its internal ceo recruiting / personnel committee and the board of directors. The established salary range was set after reviewing an independent compensation survey of state non-profit organizations as well as the ceo / executive director salaries on glassdoor and indeed for other non-profit organizations in southeast michigan. The executive director salary was determined by the board of directors within those set salary ranges.”

“To raise awareness of the prescription opiate drug abuse epidemic, to reduce the stigma and change the face of addiction, to educate about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and its potential to lead some to illegal narcotic use and to support those affected by druge abuse or addiction.”

“The state opioid response (sor) grant aims to address the opioid crisis by supporting evidence-based prevention, treatment and recovery support services to address opioid use disorder (oud) and other substance use disorders (sud). Families against narcotics (fan) helps individuals seeking to reduce their dependency on such substances to find viable treatment options, as well as provides peer recovery coaches and sober living scholarships. Fan offers education to the public (including students, parents, first responders, doctors and others) about the dangers of oud / sud and to help reduce the attached stigma. Fan also offers family recovery coaches to those affected by another's addiction. In addition, fan trains people how to properly administer naloxone /narcan, while distributing this life- saving drug that can counter the effects of an opioid overdose.”
