The community foundation of louisville, inc. Has a compensation committee that reviews form 990's and compensation studies to determine a fair and reasonable compensation for the officers and key employees. The president's and officers' compensation is then approved by the compensation committee. Compensation for all employees is approved by the compensation committee and board of the community foundation of louisville.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The foundation is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (code). Additionally, the foundation has been determined by the internal revenue service not to be a private foundation within the context of section 509(a) of the code. When applicable, the foundation recognizes uncertain income tax positions using the "more-likely-than-not" approach as defined in the asc. No liability for uncertain tax positions has been reflected in the accompanying consolidated financial statements.
