“The baptist center for global concerns has a three-fold ministry structure: i. Exploring the world (hands-on research) a. Seeking solutions for complex global concerns that impact human dignity and humanity's response toward life's sanctity, currently focusing primarily on opportunities for theological education. 1. Partner with the all africa baptist fellowship to create, implement, and sustain a theological education commission and a theological education resource centre. 2. Partner with all-africa baptist fellowship to provide theological education and consultations. Design certificate, masters, and doctoral programs for francophone countries based in togo. 3. Partner with like-minded individuals and organizations in similar global projects. 4. Seek partnerships with global universities and seminaries to train a new generation of moral change agents. B. Developing center advocates as scholars/interns (don & jan sims advocacy internships). 1. Initiate focus groups for center mission-envisioning and training for future center leadership. C. Develop center relationships with local community leaders 1. Initiate contact with local leaders to discover and address community needs (churches, schools, nonprofits, medical, and city and county officials, and individuals). D. Producing materials/publish-contribute to ongoing global research for solutions (centerplace online learning/training; daily and monthly materials/media; study course books). Ii. Equipping for change (teaching) a. Instill core values 1. Sanctity of life: the center's aims and action are rooted in a core value-the sanctity and dignity of all human life. This value helps to keep the center's aims and activities focused on human need. 2. Holistic peace (shalom) provides the center's moral catalyst. All that we do emerges from within, and revolves around, this central belief (john 14:27; matthew 5:9; 2 corinthians 5:18- 20). B. Apply strategic concept: hungering for change 1. Hungering for change (matthew 5:6, 9): service experiences that immerse caregivers into the daily existence of the underserved in a life-changing encounter for both parties. Mary's table, for example, has become a key hungering for change initiative, together with center education, serving and caring ministries. 2. Peace initiatives (matthew 5:9): the center's peace initiatives provide an umbrella of concern. We partner with churches, community service groups, and individuals to aid, meet needs, and offer hope to the whole person. 3. Current and future vision for curriculum design: providing materials foundational to the work of the center and to be used by center advocates individuals, and groups. Iii. Engaging the voiceless (mercy) through the center for global engagement peace initiatives are the center's humanitarian responses aimed toward allaying human suffering on a community and global level (micah 6:8 and matthew 5:6, 9). A. Hunger: 1. Mary's table (cooking healthy meals on a limited budget) 2. Mary's table for children 3. Emergency food relief b. Health: 1. Health, hygiene, and hope training 2. Dental hygiene clinics 3. Clinical ethics training in medical practice a. Online ethics cmes and ceus b. Clinical ethics consultations and hospital ethics committee service c. Home (global partnerships): 1. Women's conferences 2. Children's ministry training and events 3. Children's library the center believes that much ethical leadership has fallen short of providing lasting personal and community change and help for the suffering because the approaches and solutions offered have been inefficient ("throw money at problems"), inconsistent ("hit and miss- or crisis-oriented), and insufficient (impact only fruit, not root, of problems; short-sighted- address immediate need and overlook systemic problems) in scope. Effective ethical leadership requires an holistic response on a scale that is individually impossible. We believe that the ever-growing scope of human need calls for a global ethical resp”
