| IRS990ScheduleA/FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt | 0 | Man Rise Foundation did not meet the 33 1/3% public support percentage test in 2019 (30.26%), 2018 (29.20%), or 2017 (29.99%), however, Man Rise believes it meets the facts and circumstances test, and its public support percentage is well in excess of 10%. The primary reason that Man Rise Foundation did not meet the 33 1/3% public support percentage test is because it is a small foundation and has a substantial donor that makes large and vital contributions to it each year. That donor is a charitable trust, and it has made total contributions to Man Rise Foundation of $165,000 during the years from 2015 to 2019, which is 60.65% of the total contributions of $272,048 that Man Rise Foundation received over those years. The charitable trust does not have a representative on the board of Man Rise Foundation. As a small foundation with no paid employees, Man Rise Foundation has limited fundraising resources, and raises money primarily through one-on-one interactions with potential donors who are often connected via word-of-mouth contacts about our activities. We actively seek donations from the public, but because of limited bandwidth in our fundraising efforts, we tend to get larger amounts from fewer donors rather than smaller amounts from many donors. We receive support from numerous donors from the general public. The board of Man Rise Foundation oversees its activities and believes that it represents the broad interests of the public, as the programs and activities it supports are generally for the benefit of the general public. |

| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | As a small 501(c)3 organization with limited financial resources, we have opted to prepare our own tax filings rather than hiring an outside firm to handle them and incurring substantial professional fees. Since the onset of COVID19 in early 2020, our activities have been significantly disrupted as we went through a long period where it was difficult for our volunteers to meet with students due to the pandemic (most of our volunteers are older individuals). Further, our gross receipts are down substantially, and we expect to file form 990-N going forward as our gross receipts are now below $50,000 and not expected to exceed that amount going forward (given our limited activities in 2020 and 2021, we have taken in less than $5,000 in gross receipts for those two years combined). The reduced complexity of the 990-N should alleviate complications that have delayed the timing of our tax filings. |
