“Breakthrough miami impacts 2,000 young people each year, including more than 1600 5th-12th graders on an 8-year scholar journey, 144 teaching fellows serving in a paid summer leadership internship, and 600 volunteers across seven sites. Breakthrough's model is proven to support youth to thrive academically and develop as leaders. More than 90% of breakthrough scholars take advanced courses by 11th grade, 100% graduate from high school on time, and 98% enroll immediately in college. Breakthrough scholars are outperforming their peers in college persistence (86%) and degree attainment (70%). A robust americorps program, breakthrough has grown to support 154 members serving as teaching fellows and success coaches, and is now one of the largest partners in florida. “The organization has adopted the provisions of asc no 740, "accounting for uncertainty in income taxes" ("asc no 740"). Asc 740 required that the impact of tax positions to be recognized in the financial statements if they are more likely than not of being sustained upon examination. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is made in the financial statements. At 3/31/25, there were no uncertain tax positions.
