GLOVER, CHASE, SHAW AND CHENEY MIDDLE SCHOOLS, SHERIDAN ELEMENTARY AND LEWIS AND CLARK (LC) HIGH SCHOOL. EACH OF THESE SCHOOLS HAD A FULL- TIME EMPLOYEE ON SITE COORDINATING DELIVERY OF OUTSIDE RESOURCES. ALL SERVICES ARE COORDINATED BY CIS AND OFFERED BY OUTSIDE AGENCIES. CIS OFFERS A VARIETY OF SERVICES: BASIC NEEDS - CIS BROKERED IN AN OUTSIDE AGENCY OFFERING DENTAL SERVICES TO OVER 600 STUDENTS DURING THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR. CIS FACILITATED OVER 40 STUDENTS RECEIVING MEDICAL INSURANCE AND PROVIDED 120 STUDENTS A WEEK WITH A BACKPACK FULL OF FOOD OVER THE WEEKEND. PARENTAL SUPPORT - CIS FACILITATED OVER 20 PARENT NIGHTS AT THE 6 SCHOOLS AND OFFERED THE EVIDENCE-BASED STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PROGRAM TWICE. COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS - CIS PARTICIPATED IN OVER 12 CAREER FAIRS COUNTY WIDE AND STARTED A CLUB AT LC TO FOCUS ON "COLLEGE BOUND SCHOLARS". THESE STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE TUITION AT STATE SCHOOLS WHEN THEY GRADUATE BUT MUST MEET CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS. WE ALSO SIGNED UP OVER 400 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS - OVER 30 COMMUNITY PARTNERS WERE ABLE TO COME AND OFFER PROGRAMS AT 3 LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOLS. OVER 100 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED MONDAY TO THURSDAY. MENTOR PROGRAMS - OVER 100 INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS WERE PARTNERED WITH COMMUNITY MENTORS ONCE A WEEK. WE ALSO IMPLEMENTED THE BEST PRACTICE CHECK AND CONNECT PROGRAM AT 3 SCHOOLS.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS - OVER 30 COMMUNITY PARTNERS WERE ABLE TO COME AND OFFER PROGRAMS AT 3 LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOLS. OVER 100 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED MONDAY TO THURSDAY. MENTOR PROGRAMS - OVER 100 INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS WERE PARTNERED WITH COMMUNITY MENTORS ONCE A WEEK. WE ALSO IMPLEMENTED THE BEST PRACTICE CHECK AND CONNECT PROGRAM AT 3 SCHOOLS.
