Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Tomorrow's youth organization (tyo) is a non-profit, non-governmental american organization that is working to develop community centers in the middle east serving children, youth and their families. Tyo centers will provide non-formal educational activities and cultural and recreational resources that are currently unavailable in communities they serve. Beyond the core program targeted at underprivileged 2- to 8-year-olds, tyo will welcome all community members for a variety of educational, recreational, and cultural programs and events. International and local tyo staff will work closely with the local community before opening the center to ensure that the activities offered respond to local needs and interests, as well as advancing the tyo mission.

Tomorrow's youth organization empowers refugees and marginalized communities across the middle east - to build resilience, healing, and opportunity admist conflict. Through locally-led and globally-informed programs in education, livelihoods, mental health, and women's empowerment, tyo advances a holistic, multigenerational, trauma-informed model that nurtures the whole child - and their whole community - to thrive in dignity, hope, and sustainable change. In times of emergency, tyo provides life-saving assistance through food, water, and essential relief, ensuring that vulnerable families can recover with dignity and rebuild toward long-term stability and hope.

THE YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAM HELPS BENEFICIARIES GAIN LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES THROUGH INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN OUR PROGRAMS. ADDITIONALLY, THE USAID-FUNDED WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT (WED) PROGRAM SUPPORTS WOMEN WITH ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING, SEED FUNDING AND EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS WORKSHOPS. THE TYO INNOVATION HUB, WHICH IS CENTRAL TO THE PROGRAM, OFFERS A COLLABORATIVE SPACE FOR WOMEN, YOUTH, AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO NETWORK, DEVELOP BUSINESS IDEAS, AND GAIN CRITICAL SKILLS FOR SUCCESS.
