“Any reputable person age 18 or over, who is not enrolled in secondary school, who lives in medina county, texas, and who is in accord with the purpose of the organization and who is willing to cooperate in the accomplishment of its purpose, may become a member. Each member in good standing shall be entiteld to one vote on any business matter at a general membership meeting. There are not any membership fees assessed.”

“The annual meeting of all members is held in march each year to review the past livestock show, rule change suggestions, elect directors, officers and department superintendents, and review the annual report from the executive secretary.”

“The form 990 is reviewed by the officer responsible for filing the tax return under the authorization given by the board of directors.”

“The medina county junior livestock show is comprised of a board of directors, advisors, and other members to hold an annual junior livestock show. The directors and sponsors, with the financial aid and donations from loyal citizens and businesses in medina county arrange and hold this non-profit livestock show for the convenience, education and benefit of the boys and girls engaged in ffa chapters and 4-h club. The use of the show barn and other facilities are provided by the city of hondo. The exhibitors, who must be enrolled and attending elementary or secondary schools or graduated from high school within the past 90 days, can enter their projects for competitive judging, ribbons and monetary awards. They may also receive further financial rewards from the public auction for premium payments for their projects and sale of their animals, which may be used for education expenses and investment in future agriculture projects. All exhibits must be under the supervision of the medina county agri-life extension agents or agriculture science instructors. The junior livestock shows promote agriculture and inspire the next generation of farmers, ranchers, and industry professionals who will be engaged in the production of better livestock.”
