In June 2020, Industry Studies Association held its annual conference virtually, after moving the live in person conference that was originally planned to take place in Boston, MA but due to restrictions on gatherings due to COVID-19, decided to use an online platform to connect to members. With the change to a virtual format, we selected only those individuals who wished to present their papers virtually, still having 6 concurrent sessions with 25 papers being presented. This is in addition to two plenary sessions, two meet the author sessions, a policy panel, and an awards session. We had over 300 participants attend our virtual conference held over three days, including the professional development workshop for early careers, attended by 30 scholars and 10 faculty mentors. The conference also serves as the venue for announcing the winners and runners up for ISA's five awards. Industry Studies Association has partnered with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to further efforts to advance Industry Studies research and programs of interest to members of Industry Studies Association as well as the broader academic and industry communities. The collaborative efforts include a dissertation award, an award for the best conference paper by a junior faculty member, and travel grants to junior scholars to attend the annual conference. Following the annual conference, ISA held weekly webinars in June and has now focused on continuing this effort to provide industry related webinars to our members throughout the year and planning our future conferences to always have a virtual component included.$15,160-
Industry Studies Association continues to serve its members by providing valuable on-line resources. Industry Studies Association continues to improve and update the website, where members can find valuable contract information for other members and potential collaborators in Industry Studies research. The Association also continues to offer an electronic mailing list that members can use to share ideas about Industry Studies research topics.--
