“The valparaiso international center, inc. Is an indiana not-for-profit company which serves as a non-partisan, non political community gathering space and place of welcome that promotes global awareness and offers local support. In order to bring together the increasingly diverse community, the center provides a variety of resources, educational programs and cultural events for all people. The overal vision of the center includes four principal goals. First, the center will be a place for those seeking legal aid and infomation. This may include in-house staff members skilled in legal matters of immigration, or it will at least offer information for such individuals. Second, the center will serve as an educational facility. This may include offering esl(english as a second language) and foreigh language classes, lectures and debates. Third, the center will strive to increase the cultural understanding and global perspective. This will be facilitated through cultural events, with such possibilities as cooking classes, festivals, and discussions of international diversity issues. Finally, the center will serve as a resource epicenter for international convergence and information, and also as a place of welcome for the newest members of the community.”
