“Our model combines training and support, digital tools, and advocacy to support parents/caregivers, communities, and national systems to eradicate malnutrition for these children. First, we strengthen the capacity of service providers to support parents and caregivers to deliver disability-inclusive nutrition and feeding care to their children. Service providers include frontline health workers, peer ngo and civil society organizations, early childhood development staff, and social workers. We leverage host-country trainers with nutrition expertise to cascade knowledge and skills in critical areas of children's health, early identification of disability, and the use of our innovative digital health app to community providers and facilities where children are most likely to be seen, such as preschools, health centers, and mobile vaccination clinics. Second, we identify and address disability and malnutrition risks early. Service providers screen children for disabilities, track nutrition indicators, and identify feeding challenges using our innovative digital health app, count me in. Count me in helps providers identify risks of disability, measure children's growth, monitor anemia status, and detect feeding challenges. The app tracks children over time and generates individualized care plans for each child that parents use to help them safely feed and nourish their children, resulting in reductions in stunting, underweight, and anemia. Count me in's reporting features assist with decision-making and timely responses, illuminating the prevalence of malnutrition and feeding difficulties that can be tracked by child, service provider, health facility, district, or nationally. Third, we transform health systems by partnering with local and global coalitions to lead a movement for inclusive national and global policies, services, and investments. We integrate our solutions into national systems and leverage count me in's data and best practices to advocate for investments that ensure all children have the opportunity to thrive.”
