“Line 10 grants and similar amounts paid during 2018, the organization awarded the following grants: law school student scholarships: 26,125 (15 domestic individuals) the organization offers scholarships to law students. These are awarded based on the applicant's past or current service to racial and ethnic communities and their future plans to positively impact and represnet utah's racial and ethnic communities. The application consists of a resume and written essay. Other factors considered include grade point average and letters of recommendation. A committee of individuals from the utah minority bar association, the university of utah law school and the brigham young university law school review the applications and select the award recipients. Scholarships are awarded regardless of ethnicity, race, or minority status. Scholarships are paid directly to the university of utah law school or brigham young university law school to be applied against the student's tuition. Students do not receive the money directly. Scholarships range from 500 to 6,950 per recipient. Charitable contributions to 501(c)(3): 1,500 (1 domestic organization) charitable contributions to government: 2,600 (1 domestic organization)”

“The organization provided networking events and continuing legal education seminars for its members. The organization awarded 15 scholarships to students attending the university of utah or brigham young university law schools. The organization's scholarship program supports students and helps them to afford law school for a semester. This program is funded primarily through the organization's annual banquet. The organization held a fundraising event for communidades unidads (communities united) to help them put together an immigration hotline. Many members of their community are faced with immediate immigration concerns. Utah minority bar association organized a charitable fundraising competition between numerous law firms in salt lake city.”
