Form 990, Part VI, Line 6: Explanation of Classes of Members or Shareholder

Membership is open to all with an active research and/or educational interest in pulmonary vascular disease and related fields. The organization recognizes three categories of membership: (1) general members, (2) fellows and (3) corporate members.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 11B: Form 990 Review Process

The organzation retains services of an independent cpa firm to prepare its annual form 990. Management reviews the completed form 990 and schedules, and provides a full copy of the return to all voting members of the governing board. Form 990 and schedules are reviewed and approved by the board before it is filed.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

The organization reviews its conflict of interest policy regularly and updates it if deemed necessary. All newly elected officers and directors receive a copy of the policy. The organization distributes an annual conflict of interest disclosure form to all of its officer and directors who are required to disclose all conflicts that exist. If conflict arises, the board of directors takes appropriate action as set forth in the conflict of interest policy.
