“GHFEDS supports many programs for our members that are families that have individuals with Down Syndrome (DS), including: (1) social events for families, adults with DS, teens with DS, youth with DS, young children with DS, siblings of an individual with DS, and Parents of an individual with DS; (2) hosting a summer program to provide social, educational, and exercise opportunities for individuals with DS (3) financial assistance for members to attend events associated with DS (National Down Syndrome Conference, LuMind IDSC annual family weekend). We also have several expenses associated with the operation of our organization such as expenses for our annual Step Up Walk fundraising event, fees for our website and website hosting, financial software fees, insurance, phone line, post office box, storage unit, Zoom Pro account, Sam's Club membership, etc.”
