“Low income spay/neuter assistance: through animal licencing fees, pasco county currently funds a portion of the spay/neuter surgeries for owned dogs or cats of qualified pasco county residents in low income households. Spay pasco recieves and screens the applications and co-payments, then pays the participating clinics once surgeries are completed. Pasco county is billed for partial reimbursements for these completed surgeries.”

“Trap-neuter-return (tnr) program: a portion of pasco county animal licensing fees are being allocated to partially fund a tnr program through our organization. This enabled community cat caretakers to take these free roaming cats to participating veterinarians for pre-surgical examinations, spay or neuter surgeries and rabies vaccinations for a 10 co-payment. This lower cost provides incentives to the caretaker to maintain the health of cats and to stabilize the numbers in the colonies. As with low income spay/neuter assistance program, our orgainization receives, reviews and pays the clinics the remainder of the cost as surgeries are completed, then bills pasco county for their portion. This county wide project has 17 participating clinics.”
