“Carlmont Academic Foundation (CAF) was founded by volunteers who were committed to enriching the educational programs and services of Carlmont High School. Community members, generally parents of current Carlmont students, who are interested in becoming part of CAF can come to the organization's meetings which are held on regular basis or can contact any of the current CAF members for membership information. The meetings are publicized on CAF's website. CAF has an open membership and is comprised of volunteers who are motivated and interested in supporting foundation's mission and vision for Carlmont High School.”
“The all-volunteer board is made up of parents of current and former students of Carlmont High School. Elections for the officers are held at the May meeting for two-year terms as described in the bylaws. All members who attended the meetings are eligible to vote in the elections. Members are recruited from incoming and current Carlmont parents. The officers are nominated from the membership.”

The organization's board members solicit information and suggestions from school administrators, faculty and staff, to determine the financial needs for the school.
