“Statement of Program Service Accomplishments Family Vocation Ministries hosts one-day educational conferences that promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Catholic Priests and Religious Brothers and Sisters are invited to speak at each event to speak with Parents and their children about what it means to serve God. By educating them on this message, they are inspired to live upright and just lives according to Christ's message. We have hosted over 63 educational family conferences in a 10 year span and have educated more than 13,000 people. Over 20+ persons have committed themselves to a Catholic Religious Vocation while hundreds of families have been positively affected by the events. Family Vocation Ministries has expanded its apostolate by working with local Catholic Dioceses to recruit more men and women into the church for vocations. This includes expanding our program to focus on the development of children in catechesis and religious education while involving parents to participate in their child's development. Over the past three years we have expanded our apostolate and set up prayer groups throughout Southern California to help pray for Catholic Priests. Our focus this past year is once again to expand our presence by establishing local prayer groups at parishes, while providing the small groups with continued educational literature to host prayer meetings and expand their knowledge of the Catholic faith and grow in their spiritual lives. We have established the prayer groups in order to expand our additional apostolate called "Spiritual Motherhood". We have hosted over 33+ conferences on this subject matter with an average 3 to 4 conferences over the past several years. The subject matter for the conferences teaches women their role and dignity within society and their importance and role in praying for families and their well-being. The amount in attendance for each of the conferences can range from approximately 200 to 600 women. We have developed new literature on the subject matter allowing women to sign up to pray for priests and the church. Over the past year, our online sign up system, has allowed women from across the country to learn about the apostolate. Our continued focus over the past year is to promote and expand our online system so more people have access to the Spiritual Motherhood information and are able to set up their own prayer group anywhere in the country. Our goal over the next several years is to establish a greater online presence since there has been a growing concerns in the church and educating them on the need to pray for priests. We are currently working on revamping our website to make it more user friendly. We are moving more away from DVD format and will continue to make more videos accessible via online videos and will be continuing to expanding on Youtube.com, Facebook and other social media means over the next year.”
