THE SOCIAL DAY CARE PROGRAM PROVIDED A SAFE, ACTIVE, AND COMFORTABLE PLACE FOR ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS, WHILE PROVIDING TEMPORARY RELIEF FOR PRIMARY CARETAKERS. PARTICIPANTS ENJOYED A VARIETY OF SOCIAL, CULTURAL, AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN A SUPERVISED SETTING. BOTH PROGRAMS WERE SUPPORTED BY A TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SAFE, DEPENDABLE TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN THE PARTICIPANT'S HOME OR NURSING FACILITY TO THE PROGRAM. OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDED NUTRITIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE ELDERLY AND CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM.
