For the 2024 tax year, Time To Fly Foundation did not maintain detailed accounting records segregating expenses by function (i.e., program services, management and general, and fundraising). This was due to budget constraints that began in 2023. In prior years, including through 2022, the organization engaged a professional accounting firm and filed full Form 990-EZ returns that included properly tracked functional expense allocations. In 2023, the Foundation experienced a loss of funding significant enough to discontinue its professional bookkeeping services. During that period, the organization maintained only basic transaction-level data, without functional tagging or class-based accounting. As a result of its reduced activity and support base, the Foundation was eligible to file Form 990-N (e-Postcard) for tax year 2023. In 2024, the organization stabilized its operations and re-engaged professional CPA services to ensure accurate tax compliance. Although functional accounting had not yet been fully restored, the expenses presented in this return were allocated using reasonable estimates based on the nature and purpose of each transaction. This transitional year does not reflect any change in governance, mission, or compliance intent, but instead represents a temporary departure from historical accounting standards due to limited resources. The Foundation is actively working to restore nonprofit-appropriate financial tracking systems for tax year 2025 and beyond.--
