“Membership in the mendelssohn choir of pittsburgh and junior mendelssohn choir of pittsburgh is by audition throughout the community, and new members are added to the membership at the pleasure of mcp's music director and the conductor of the junior mendelssohn.”

Staff is obligated to review the policy with the board on an annual basis, and to report any issues as they become apparent. The executive director is directly responsible for day-to-day compliance, and the audit committee and board share oversight responsibilities. Staff members make regular reports to both oversight bodies. The conflict of interest policy complements mcp's employee handbook, which establishes staff member responsibilities with respect to conflicts of interest.”

The presidents reviewed the accomplishments and various comparability data with the executive board, and recommended a compensation action. The executive board, all of whom are independent, concurred with the recommendation, and the deliberation and decision were contemporaneously substantiated in the minutes of the meeting. During the meeting, mcp's president reported on the compensation review process for mcp's other officers and employees.”

The committee is directly and solely responsible for the appointment and dismissal, evaluation, compensation, and oversight of mcp's independent accountant.”
