“Ingomar volunteer fire company no. 2 is made up of members who are volunteer firefighters. New members must complete an application in writing to the secretary to be considered for membership. If the application is approved all new members will be accepted on a six month probationary period. At the end of the six month probationary period a vote of the membership shall be taken to: 1.) accept the applicant as a full member 2.) extend the probationary period or 3.) terminate the membership.”

“The members of the ingomar volunteer fire company no. 2 form a nominating committee to gather nominations for the board members. Each nominated position is voted on by the members and elected by a majority vote.”

“Following the preparation of the 990 by the external cpa firm, the return is given to the treasurer for review by the governing body before the return is mailed to the internal revenue service.”

“The company reviews with board members and members of the fire company before any significant activity or expense is incurred to ensure that no conflict of interest exists.”

“Primary activity of related organizations: volunteer firemen's relief association of mccandless the association's primary exempt purpose is to provide for and maintain a fund for the relief of its members who may be injured or who may be prevented from following their usual occupation because of ailments caused by exposure or accident while on active duty as a volunteer firemen of mccandless township, pennsylvania. The membership and/or its elected officals shall direct and perform any and all activities necessary to provide such relief as permitted by the pennsylvania volunteer firemen's relief association act, act of june 11, 1968, p.l. 149, as amended, 53 p.s. 8501 et seq., (commonly referred to as act 84) and as permitted by its by-laws. Such funds will be used to provide for: 1. Equipment purchases 2. Insurance 3. Death benefits/relief benefits 4. Personal property damage 5. Fire training expenses 6. Administrative costs 7. Tokens of sympathy and goodwill”
