Mission

To improve the quality of life for neighborhood residents while promoting home ownership.

Major Activities

Activity 2
New home construction program - provides downpayment assistance grants to qualified first time homebuyers who build a new home in the east bayfront nieghborhood. Best also purchases blighted properties for demolition and prepares the resulting vacant lot for home construction. Best demolished one (1) blighted property and completed construction on two (2) homes in 2011.
Activity 3
Best assisted four (4) low-income, elderly, or disabled homeowners with home repaires that included roof replacements, a porch rebuild, removal of dangerous construction, chimney repairs, lawn mowing and removal of junk and debris.

HOWEVER, THE ORGANIZATION IS NOT CURRENTLY UNDER AUDIT, NOR HAS THE ORGANIZATION BEEN CONTACTED BY ANY OF THE TAXING AUTHORITIES. THE ORGANIZATION HAS NOT BEEN SUBJECT TO ANY INCOME TAX PENALITES OR INTEREST FOR 2011 AND 2010.
