Mission

The mission of nsabp foundation, inc. Is to design and conduct practice changing cancer research, including clinical trials and laboratory studies in the medical, surgical and prevention settings in order to improve the survival outcome and quality of life of patients with breast and colorectal cancer, and to disseminate the results of nsabp collaborative research to benefit the world-wide community.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The foundation accounts for uncertainty in income taxes using a recognition threshold of more-likely-than-not to be sustained upon examination by the appropriate taxing authority. Measurement of the tax uncertainty occurs if the recognition threshold is met. Management determined that there were no tax uncertainties that met the recognition threshold in 2017 and 2016. The foundation's policy is to recognize interest and penalty costs relating to unrecognized tax benefits or obligations, if any, in general and administrative expenses.
