The health alliance for nonprofits has no employees. It contracts with an independent contractor, jrg advisors, to provide bookkeeping and management services. The governing board remains responsible for oversight of this activity.

According to the organization's by-laws the membership consists of a sole member, which shall be the pennsylvania association of nonprofit organizations, a pennsylvania nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income tax as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 7A

According to the organization's by-laws, the sole member of the organization, the pennsylvania association of nonprofit organizations, shall determine the governing board of the health alliance of nonprofit organizations. The directors shall include the president, treasurer and the executive director of the pennsylvania association of nonprofit organizations, and may consist of additional members determined by the pennsylvania association of nonprofit organizations, up to a maximum board size of seven members.
