The financial accounting standards board (fasb) issued new guidance on accounting for uncertain tax positions taken in previously filed returns. Accordingly, management evaluated the council's tax positions, and management concluded that it had taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to or disclosure in the council's financial statements.
