“The corporation is a not-for-profit entity described in section 501(c)(2) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from income taxes on related activities pursuant to section 509(a) of the internal revenue code. The corporation conducted no activities which were subject to income taxes. Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the commission, including whether the entity is exempt from income taxes. Management evaluated the tax positions taken and concludes that the commission had taken no uncertain tax positions that require recognition or disclosure in the consolidated financial statements. Therefore, no provision or liability for income taxes has been included in the consolidated financial statements. Tax returns are generally subject to examination for a period of three years after they are filed.”
