“The women's board of pittsburgh was formed to lend financial support to the many non-profit organizations involved with children in the pittsburgh area. Members of the women's board of pittsburgh are committed to an annual benefit with the proceeds awarded to a different organization selected each year whose purpose is promoting the welfare and development of children.”

“The women's board of pittsburgh donates funds raised to organizations whose purpose is promoting the welfare and development of children. The funds this year were donated to support nine organizations: earthern vessel outreach, foster love project, will allen foundation, fox families care,grow pittsburgh, lending hearts, the friendship circle, propel school, and 412 boxing. Earthen vessel outreach provides before school, after school and summer camps for economically disadvantaged children. Foster love project runs a "shopping center" to provide free goods for foster children and their families. Will allen foundation runs a "quest for success" program which includes curriculum development, robot kits and equipment, curriculum materials, student transportation, tech support, student meals and website upgrades. Fox families care provides resources for youth and families, including counselors,nurses, teachers, administrators and strategic community partners. Grow pittsburgh supports food-growing initiatives and programs as a key way of improving the social, economic, environment, health and educational realities of the community. Lending hearts addresses the needs of cancer-recovering children and their families. The friendship circle aims to build a more inclusive community, bringing together people of diverse abilities and interests. The propel charter school provides stem learning classes. The 412 boxing is an athletic program founded to give under-resourced pittsburgh city youth an opportunity to learn to box and nationally compete.”
