Mission

The ccbc foundation is a non-profit educational trust established to secure and serve as the steward for donated funds. These funds are used to support students through scholarships and other college activities deemed appropriate by the foundation. In all of its efforts, the foundation will support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the community college of beaver county.

Provide financial support to assist ccbc in providing educational opportunities to the general student populations, enhance the college facilities and resources, and promote partnerships with business and community leaders.

The community college of beaver county board of trustees are responsible for appointing members of the ccbc foundation board of directors.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

The executive director and auditor for the ccbc foundation prepare and jointly review information contained on the form 990 (and supporting schedule) annually prior to submission to the internal revenue service. A copy of the form 990 and supporting schedules are e-mailed to members of the board for review.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The foundation is a non-profit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code ("irc"), and is exempt from federal taxes on its exempt income under section 501(a) of the irc. Accordingly, no provision for federal and state income taxes is recorded. The foundation accounts for uncertainty in income taxes using a recognition threshold of more-likely-than-not to be sustained upon examination by the appropriate taxing authority. Measurement of the tax uncertainty occurs if the recognition threshold is met. Management determined there were no tax uncertainties that met the recognition threshold at june 30, 2019.
